Beginning in the Edo period, Kyoto's traditional parlor game "Throwing Fan Ko" A fan is thrown at a target called a "butterfly", and the score is determined by the position and shape of the fan and the butterfly. It is a competitive game in which two people take turns throwing from both sides.
